On these recordings Ray is joined by some good friends: Johnnie Woods who played with Freddie King, Jimmie Reed and Johnny Taylor, and also recorded with Al "TNT" Braggs, Little Joe Blue and R.L. Griffin.
Brian "Hash Brown" Calway has been working out of Dallas for the last 30 years. Brian has played with such Texas blues legends as Zuzu Bollin, Big Al Dupree, and Henry Qualls. He has several recordings released under his own label, Browntone Records.
Jason Moeller grew up in the Dallas blues scene, recording several CDs with his brother, Johnny, and now he is working and recording with the Thunderbirds.
The Austrian of the group, Christian Dozzler, has recorded 5 CDs under his own name. Now he is playing in bands with Hash Brown, Mike Morgan, Anson Funderburgh and living in Dallas.
