About Shawn Pittman
Shawn Pittman plays through a 60's Fender Relic Stratocaster with two Rio Grande pickups. His amp of choice is a 58 Magnatone with 2x12's. His Dad gave him his first guitar for Christmas, and his Granddad showed him how to play chords along to Chuck Berry songs. Shawn liked listening to Buddy Holly and Jimmy Reed, but really got turned on to the blues with the tapes Hash Brown would give him. The way he attacks his guitar came from listening to and watching U.P. Wilson, Mike Morgan and Anson Funderburgh play live. Shawn played with Susan Tedeschi in the early years and has a couple of CDs out on the Cannon Ball label.
